Pat is the founder of Benson Financial Group and has been in the financial business for over 20 years. He is a lifelong resident of the tri-state area, and community involvement is an important part of his life.  He was born and raised in Monroe City, MO, and lived there until moving to Hannibal, MO, in 1993 with his wife, Connie. They have one daughter, and three grandchildren.

Pat enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, spending time on the farm, and watching his favorite sports teams.

Jeriod is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He is an Army Veteran of eight years, serving two tours in the Middle East. Jeriod worked in the banking industry for over ten years before entering the financial services profession.  

Born and raised in Bevier, Missouri, Jeriod and his family have resided in Hannibal since 2005. Jeriod’s hobbies include running, golfing, reading, spending time with family, and following his favorite sports teams. Jeriod and his wife, Leah, live in Hannibal, MO, with their three children.

Professional

Justin joined Benson Financial Group (BFG) in 2010 as a financial advisor and partner in the firm. Justin has a passion for helping and serving others. He considers it a great privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate to and through retirement. He has a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from Hannibal-LaGrange University. Justin holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations with LPL Financial. He also has his designation as a Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA).

He and others from BFG are members of a national faith-based organization called Kingdom Advisors. This community of like-minded peers support biblically wise financial advice, wisdom in practice management, and a commitment to personal development. The hope is to help clients build both earthly wealth, and wealth for God's kingdom.

Personal

Justin and his wife, Brooke, are both lifelong residents of Hannibal where they raise their three daughters, McKenzie, Madison, and Mila.

Justin has a deep commitment to his community and actively serves on the following boards and service organizations. Hannibal Chamber of Commerce Board, FNC Academy School Board, Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation Board, Child Advocacy Center of Northeast MO Board, Mark Twain Home Foundation Board, Gideons International Ministry, Early Bird Kiwanis service club, and Hannibal Career and Technical Center Advisory Board.

Justin and his wife, Brooke, are active supporters of FNC Academy, a Pre-K, Primary, and Secondary Education school located in the slums of Uganda, Africa. FNC, which stands for Faithfully Nurturing Children, exists to bring hope to the hopeless—and it's doing just that. Currently 200+ students are enrolled with 50 full time Ugandan employees. Justin and Brooke have traveled to Kampala, Uganda to visit the school and to love, encourage and serve the students, faculty, and surrounding community. The Gibsons attend Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, IL. They are excited to give back to the community and share the love of God and the hope that we have through His son, Jesus.

Justin also has a passion for the great outdoors and loves hiking, camping, cycling, watching sports, working in the yard, and tinkering with vehicles.

Benjamin serves as an Registered Assistant with Benson Financial Group. He earned his PhD in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University, an M.S. in Educational Administration from William Woods University (MO), and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Hannibal-LaGrange University.

Benjamin served in education at Hannibal-LaGrange University for seven years as a professor of finance and head baseball coach before joining BFG in 2022. Before that, he taught high school Social Studies for six years. 

Born and raised in Salem, Illinois, Benjamin has resided in Hannibal since 2005. He and his wife, Janelle, have three children. In his free time, Ben enjoys gardening, reading, roasting coffee, traveling, fishing, disc golfing, running, cycling, following the St. Louis Cardinals, and hosting friends. Ben and his wife, Janelle, are members of Believers Church in Hannibal.

Tim joined Benson Financial Group in January 2022. Prior to joining Benson Financial Group, Tim worked in both for-profit and non-profit arenas for 10+ years, most recently at Knapheide Manufacturing.  Tim is a lifelong resident of Quincy, IL, and holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Quincy University.

Tim is passionate about helping individuals make sound financial decisions. He and his wife, Emily, have three children. They are members of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, where Tim and Emily serve in many volunteer capacities.   Tim’s interests include running, gardening, traveling, and rooting for the Texas Longhorns.

Aaron is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and serves as a Financial Advisor with Benson Financial Group. He also earned his MBA from the Helzberg School of Management at Rockhurst University in Kansas City and holds his B.S. degree in Accounting from Rockhurst.

Aaron joined Benson Financial Group in 2023 after serving in higher education for over a decade, most recently at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. 

Raised in Canton, Missouri, Aaron has spent most of his life in the tri-state area. He and his wife, Andrea, have four children. In his free time, Aaron enjoys drinking coffee with Andrea, being outside with his family, watching sports, and listening to music. Aaron and Andrea are members of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy, Illinois.
